Berlin Boot & Fun was a very busy 3 days at the end of August with 2 Piper barges on display, 49M Elixier & 49M Reves & Rives.
There was a real buzz in the air all weekend and we would like to thank everybody who visited our stand.
Exhibiting 2 Piper 49M’s was a smart move, showcasing the distinct differing layouts and the enduring quality of a five year old preloved Piper barge( Rives and Reves).
The team of Piper owners – Roberto & Ursula (La Fenice), Andreas & Andrea (Rives and Reves), Roger and Glynwen (former owners of Etholle) and the ever present Paul (Reg), brought both Passion and expertise to the event, drawing a steady crowd to the Piper exhibition area. Without the help of this team of owners Simon would not be able to bring the Piper brand to events like this so the whole of the Piper factory team thank them for their help and entusiatic support.
The German national television feature, with a trip on the Havel aboard Elixier which was shown on Television on the Saturday evening news was a game changer, boosting interest and made the Sunday a whirlwind of curious visitors.
To the Piper team it came as no surprise that the Piper Dutch style barges stood out amongst the typical river cruisers and motorised houseboats in Berlin. The Piper unique blend of houseboat space and our cruising freedom seemed to have sparked a lot of interest.
Elixier will now be based in Werder for a while and is available to view by appointment.
